Chianti dei Colli Senesi is produced in the land of Siena province and more precisely in Chiusi.
Chianti San Gregorio is produced with grapes that come exclusively from the family wineyards.
The cultivation of wineyards intended to produce a Chianti like ours is subjected to strict rules in order to grant the properties of quality of the product: in this way the rules and regulations indicate the vineyards and the respective percentages, the kind of soil, the exposure, the ways of cultivation and the maximum quantity that can be produced per hectare. Moreover, in our wineyards, every single vine receives the specific care according to the old techniques of the farmer: pruning, tying, hoeing are all made by hands and during the grape harvest the few bunches that, for some reasons, are not perfect are selected and cut off.
San Gregorio has a total surface of 52 hectares, among which 19 are specialised vineyards. The average production of wine is above 1000 hectolitres per year. The family has always produced wine.
